A quick comparison and tips of using Polaroid and Instax cameras.
Ease of use
Instax is easier to use because there are no settings to adjust, point to the subject, click and shoot. The printed photo doesn’t need to be put in the dark, it can be developed in few minutes. Polaroid film needs to be put in the dark right after it has printed, I usually put in the pocket. It also takes longer to develop 10-15min.
Polaroid camera has more settings, such as +-, Portrait or Landscape mode, Bluetooth connection to your phone app and also double exposure.
Price
Instax is cheaper overall. Polaroid film is $16 for 8 films, whereas Instax film is …. . I usually buy in bulk, a pack of Polaroid films for $8.. and pack of Instax film for $64.
Verdict
Instax is easier, faster, cheaper to use.
Polaroid is more complicated, more expensive, but has more ways to play with the exposure.
